Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

We do not experience life as it is. We experience it through the lens of everything that has happened in the past and its cumulative mind-body effect. The result is that we lose aspects of our human agency in the present and cannot act, feel, and experience life as we desire.

This is the core reason that many seek out a mind-body practitioner, yet perhaps one technique has the potential to revolutionize this lens mentally, emotionally, and physically beyond all others.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) efficiently addresses the stress response imprints from negative experiences and their ongoing effects in our lives. Even when the events are long past, the subconscious brain has catalogued the negative events, and the nervous system may continue to relive the experiences beneath the surface. By identifying the specific experiences affecting us today and their unresolved systematic effects, NET uses a combination of tools to facilitate processing of the past dynamics and progressively resolve the ongoing issues.

Because it is a physiological, whole-body processing technique, NET can improve mental blocks, physical pain, emotional dysregulation, unwanted recurrent patterns, and more. Utilizing manual muscle testing as a method for nervous system biofeedback, NET allows us to pinpoint and process the stressors that are keeping us stuck.

While NET is a cross-disciplinary modality and used by a variety of health practitioners, it can be a helpful processing technique in the context of counseling and psychotherapy—working even better than dedicated psychotherapy techniques such as EMDR. Due to its physiological nature, NET is exceptional for performance and wellness appointments, as it can pinpoint what may be inhibiting you from reaching your goals, what may be blocking you from optimal health and functioning, and what may be inhibiting your maximum whole body wellness.

I began training in NET in 2021 and have been certified since 2022. I am now a Level III certified NET practitioner, and it forms a cornerstone of how I practice. The videos below progressively explain and portray NET in short segments. For videos portraying longer sessions and a video podcast discussion of NET, visit the entire series on my YouTube channel.
